The Past 50 Years: Impact on the Church

Session #5 on Saturday, October 27, 2012

Bro. Frank Reed of Harrisonville, PA

When we don’t know our history, it begins impacting who we are. ….. Our identity is shaped by those kinds of things. Well, as we go through life, as we go through Anabaptist history, you see that we change by adaptation. Our identity changes by the way we adapt to the world around us.

Anabaptist Missions – Dean Taylor

Session #4 on Saturday, October 27, 2012

Bro. Dean Taylor of Round Lake, MN

I noticed….. there was almost a fear of missions. You talked about missions, there was almost trembling about it all. I personally witnessed the inner conflict that mission brought to a local congregation; the congregations that I was associated with. I did not feel that was the way it was meant to be.

The Hutterite Experience – Reuben Walter

Session #3 on Saturday, October 27, 2012

Bro. Reuben Walter of Saskatchewan

We have not attained. We are no better than anybody else. We are just a group of people on a journey to the kingdom. …It’s a journey, it is rocky, it is filled with stumbling blocks, and it is filled with an enormous amount of distractions.

The Hutterite Story – Reuben Walter

Session #2 on Friday, October 26, 2012

Bro. Reuben Walter of Saskatchewan

So we have much in common, and we share a like common faith, and therefore we will be able to identify also with each other. As I want to share of our common heritage, our common strengths and also our common weaknesses.

The Dilemma of Reconciliation – Edsel Burdge

Session #1 on Friday, October 26, 2012

Bro. Edsel Burdge of Shippensburg, PA

This whole question of reconciliation is problematic. …At the same time we have to come to terms with what the apostle (Paul) teaches in Ephesians 4. “…there is one body, and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all…”
