Autopsy Of A Dead Church

Session #6 on Saturday, October 27, 2012

Bro. Finny Kuruvilla of Boston, MA

So in the opening chapters of the book of Revelation, Jesus undertakes the task of evaluating His churches by having the apostle John deliver letters to these 7 churches. …And interestingly, only 2 out of the 7 churches receive a good report from get a good report from Jesus. 5 out of the 7 are rebuked in varying ways, which is pretty amazing considering the fact that the apostles had been among those churches not too long before these letters were written.

  1. Hi, I very much appreciated brother Finny’s message. I am wondering if you could send me his email address so that I could cantact him. Thanks

  2. I was wondering if you have any audio cds of the autopsy of a dead church. I would really like a copy and could send money for postage. thanks jeff

  3. Brother Finney mentioned in his testimony about public schools and how they are detrimental to our children. I agree that the public school system is void of biblical standards and homeschooling our children is a better choice. Did brother Finney not go to public school though in order to receive his degree in medicine? Just curious. Thank you and God bless you.

  4. Bro. Finny Kuruvilla, your sermon was beautiful and very challenging. The logical conclusions you draw are exactly why, after 20 years of being a Mennonite, I became a Seventh-day Adventist Christian. I don’t want to be antinomian. It is a simple, beautiful childlike faith, following the example of Jesus without adding to God’s law or ignoring it.

1 John 5:3 “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. ”

I find it sad that Anabaptists, that seek total submission to God, ignore His 4th commandment. Which other of the 10 commandments do they consider to be non-essential? None.

So why, I ask, do they love paying homage to the Papacy that declared in 321 AD that they had the power to change the commandments of God, switching the day God had decalred to be His Holy Day (Is 58:13-14)

I sought a church that would stick with the Bible, cover to cover.
Thank you for preaching from Revelations, a book most modern day Anabaptists won’t touch. Here are a couple verses to ponder.

    Revelations 12:17
“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

    Rev. 14:12.
“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

God bless you in your ministry. May He lead you and guide you in all truth!
